What tactics will Republicans use against Obama?

Yes, but in a state where none of the candidates campaigned, name recognition counts heavily and, certainly at the time, HRC was the best known Dem candidate.

I think the most logical reason to exclude my state at this point is that nobody thought it would count at the time. If our votes are going to count, we should revote.

Man, wouldn’t that be a spectacle and a half…

C’mon. Lay it on us. Who was it?

As would be his right, since the program was the creation of a Republican governor. albeit a liberal (Frank Sargent, if you’re keeping score). Dukakis’ role was simply to veto the legislature’s attempt to limit it.

But then, when did facts get in the way of a good, race-baiting smear campaign? One which is still echoing today, even on this board?

Another tactic at hand (though you also get a sense of it in the related thread on this very forum).

Now, whether you hear a lot about this and Rezko three months from now really depends. If we do, I’d almost think that’s a good sign; that means nothing’s come up that the opposition can harp on to any better effect.

The Audacity of a Dope.

Let us count the ways:

NEW REALITIES! BROAD FRONTIERS!
Well, although this IS politics the truth is not unheard of even in this filthy realm.
The truth is not only stranger than fiction, it can be shown that when when the media pick our candidates, the candidate often IS the fiction. Sorta like Avril Lavigne.

Obama is an empty suit who uses Orwellian platitudes of the type long ago we were warned against.

Like “audacity” “aspirations” “Stand shoulder to shoulder”

Not to mention that he apparently has some odd notions about how to nix the terror lords (like running away with your knickers crammed up your bum).

Elsewhere, Robert Samuelson has some pointers for the confused on the economics of all this.

PS–Glad to see Mrs. Obama found her pride in the millions of bucks she’s worth and the glass race ceilings she’s shattered on the way to Audacity of Hope.

I’m not exactly happy that John McCain thinks, as did Bush and the repubs and dems alike (for their own sordid reasons) that this nation is to be a giant parking lot for illegal immigrants, but still, McCain is mostly a known element. There’s some meat left in that pumpkin and he’s had less a life of coddling (which you don’t get much of in the Hanoi Hilton when they dang wang fanged your toenails) and understands the enemies of this nation actually mean business.

Glad to help.

Highly relevant 'toon.

Lies from the lips of the president might be an effective tactic:

Comparatively speaking, rather a refreshing bit of candor.

I don’t get it. Inscrutably evil Republicans.
