Try Mambo Express on WDCB 90.9, 3PM Sundays. His cockateil will drive you crazy, but not as bad as mine did when I was out of work and he learned the sound of the phone ringing. Now I have fans and tinnitus to work together to imitate the phone ringing. He has more fun confusing the dogs because he’s a bird that talks.
And now it is all talk:

I hardly ever listen to the radio in the car anymore. With my iPod and a little connecting cable, it’s like I have my very own radio station.
It is very unfortunate that they ruined Q101. I remember on the last broadcasted day they played smashing pumpkins tonight. I almost cried. While they were changing over to the new station the next day, they played Red hot chilli peppers" Rain dance Maggie" for like 7 hours straight. I love that song now:) Q101 had been my favorite radio station since I was like 8 years old. I would listen to the top 100 songs of the 90s every year. I am 25 now and I truely miss it. Sherman and tingle were my favorites. I used to listen to them every morning on my way back from work. But enough of my rambling… theres a new station at 88.3 WZRD. They launched about 1 week after Q101 ended. They play metal and rock mostly. But every once in a while they play some really cool unsusual music you’ve never heard of. They have request lines open a lot and I called back to back and requested all metal and they really played all 4 of the songs I requested. (cemetary gates, land of confusion, sail, and battery). They call themselves freeform radio. Its not gonna replace Q101 right away but if we all chip in and request the right music. Then its very possible that they will make it all rock. They are testing it out mainly right now to see what people want. Let them know we want our rock!! Its a great station and sometimes you can even call and talk to some band members. Spread to word to all your friends. Listen to 88.3 and request all rock.
I feel your pain. There were 2 hard rock stations here, and one went hip hop/R&B 4 or 5 years ago. The other is sucky.
