What the heck did I get at the panadería?

I went to the panadería yesterday and got some pandulce, like you do. One of the pieces was something I had never seen before. It’s like…a custard brownie, or something. It has a strange flavor that I can’t identify.

I took a picture. Anyone know what this is called and what’s in it? The little pink dots are from the big sprinkle cookie that was in the same bag, btw.

Hm, this should probably go in Cafe Society. I’ll notify the mods.

Moved MPSIMS --> Cafe Society.

I pronounce it pandaria.

You obviously get panda meat there.

It’s been forever since I’ve been to a panadería, and I’ve never been an expert, but to my untrained eye (along with your description of ‘custard brownie’), that looks like a slice of bread pudding of some type.

Yup. What’s funny is before I even clicked on the thread I was thinking, “I’ll bet it’s bread pudding.”

“panadería”?

Bakery.

It looks like what we call capirotada which is a type of bread pudding.

Budin = bread pudding? Looks 'effin SABROSO whatever it is.

IMO yes to both, it is bread pudding and Sabroso.

Mother used to make it years ago.

It looks like budin, a baked bread pudding. My mom makes it sometimes.

Panda cotta?

I’ll show myself out.

Thanks for the help, everyone! It was pretty sabroso, although I don’t know if I care for the texture.
