Yeah, the housecat from hell!

Purely by coincidence (I was playing around with StumbleUpon), I found more pictures of the cat and the catfish. It really is quite the formidable beastie.

Wow! With smaller ears, that could almost be a miniature cheetah.

That’s not a bengal or a crossbreed, that’s a serval, an medium-sized african wild cat.

Is it just me or, in that last picture, do both the serval and the dog (a corgi?) look worried?

Oh yeah, it even says so on the site. Sorry.

I know…after I posted that serval link here, I looked up and noticed that the pictures of the serval were in the, you know, serval tab of that website. Yeah, so labeling the pictures as “serval” was a pretty good hint that the cat was a serval, if only I had noticed the label.

Hey, nothing’s simple! You got any lemur pics?

Jesus, how did we manage in the days before wikipedia?

I have a friend who raises Servals - they are big enough to grab stuff off of the kitchen counter with their mouth (while standing on the ground). They’re neat, but more than a little scary - they have their claws, and you don’t want one pissed at you!
