What the HELL is with St. Louis ?????
I spent 17 years there. St. Louis both sucks and blows.

I went to Parkway South High School.

And here’s the post that will sum up St. Louis for everybody:

I’ve spent 29 years here.

I went to Parkway South High School.

I wondered how long it would take before the highschool questions started.

Yes: I was generalizing. Much like the OP.
But he was taking two experiences in St. Louis and generalizing to all of St. Louis. You were taking “New York State” and translating that into … not New York State.

1988.

Ah, you were there when my little brother was. I was '85, he was '89.

This town. I swear to God, I’ve had this conversation in the Empire State Building elevator.

 If you graduated in 1985, wouldn’t you and I have been there at the same time?

My brother was there when they opened the thing. He graduated in '79.

I always forget that Parkway changed the distribution of grades around. I was at South for 10th-12th (before that, East Jr.), starting the year they split off the junior high students. Did they move 9th to the high schools, later?

Anyway, I had little to do with Sophmores during my Senior year; nothing outside of swimming, really. Whereas you’d’ve been more likely to have known my brother, since he was more activity-prone.

I know. I wasn’t really talking about the OP anymore. I was responding only to the points mswas and gigi made, which were in response to a point I made way upthread–before you backed down from your frustration. In other words, I was defending my words in the context that I made them, not in the present context, which is relatively calm and polite (as pit threads go).

The ravioli’s fine if you happen to already be here. I wouldn’t go out of your way.

Upon re-read, I gotta agree. I withdraw that last post of mine addressed to you. Sorry !!
I was THERE and I didn’t go outa my way to try them.
