So…I’m watching the Sugar Bowl and my beloved Sooners are down 7 to LSU with a little over 2 minutes left on the clock. Following a critcal penalty* by LSU on a punt, the ref is about to make the call WHEN ABC CUTS FROM THE GAME TO SOME MORONIC BULLSHIT. I don’t even know what the fuck it is, just two guys sitting around talking about movies.
Seriously, someone has to die.
How can you just cut from a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME? This is the shit that I’m paying for??? I’ve noticed that they do this during other things, but I could usually care less. This time, it was personal. I had to “watch” the rest of the game off of Gamecast on espn.com (my Sooners lost :(). Did this happen to anyone else?
*OK, so it wasn’t so critical, but it might’ve been at the time.
So, one of the six billion or so sports games out there actually got kicked off the air in favour of something vaguely interesting? I’d pay to get a channel like that …
(Yes, I know this is a minority opinion. To put it mildly.)
I’m a HUGE college football fan, and it pisses me off that I wasn’t able to watch the entire game, a game I had been waiting an entire month to watch. This was a local thing because no one else had problems watching the game, so yes, I’m pitting my local provider for cutting to some other bullshit in the middle of what could’ve been a huge comeback.
