If you back out to just http://www.absurd.org you get anoption to go toan artist named navosov’s paintings, where he says “If you have any questions or comments regarding this site and/or paintings, send me e-mail. If you have any questions regarding Åbsürd Örg, they will be gleefully ignored.” Appears to be an artist making some weirdness.
Uh… dude? Absurd? Google “absurdist movement”.
Whatever you do, don’t click on the one labeled Core Meltdown.

While it’s not the same, it kind of reminds me of Conway’s game of Life.
The first one is definitely Conway’s Life. The others probably use related modified rules.
Ahh, good ol’ absurd.org. I remember wasting hours and hours playing with the wormbot many moons ago. Unfortunately, it’s not loading for me correctly on this newfangled browser I have now.
