I’m going to go with the Twin Peaks opening theme. Even more so than The X-Files.
I’ll go with “I’ll Be There For You” from Friends.
Oooh. Good one.
Obviously this. And I never even liked (or watched) Friends. It was my very first thought.
Otherwise, I’d go for The Simpsons (which started in the 80s, of course, but was prominent throughout the 90s), or The X-Files (as mentioned).
Assuming you can’t pick the Sonic the Hedgehog theme from the Mega Drive games.
That’s the first one I thought of, and I’ve never even watched a full episode of Friends.
I think for me it’s Twin Peaks cause when I hear the theme song, I find myself adding the words, and throwing Julee Cruise into the mix just accentuates the 90’s aspect.
X-files leads the pack for me. The ultimate 90’s show.
The Adventures of Pete and Pete (Hey Sandy by Polaris)
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has to be right up there.
Oh yeah, good one.

That popping, breathy bass from Seinfeld?
Me, too. Nothing screams the '90s more than that song.
That’s another good one, cause there’s usually an immediate segue to Jerry with his poofy hair and a dated sweater.
Any Nirvana song does it for me.
Were any used as TV theme songs, though?
Talk about weird synchronicity! I have Spotify on random play. The moment that I read this thread title, the Paula Cole song “I Don’t Wanna Wait” (used for “Dawson’s Creek”) came on.
Even though the show started in '90, that song actually has more of a late 80s vibe to me, musically.
Not that I’m aware of, I read the thread title too quickly.
My first thought was Full House. Seinfeld borders on the late 80’s to me.
