Another method, maybe a tad simpler:
Divide numerator and denominator by 40. So \frac{10000...}{360} = \frac{250...}{9} . And I know by the principle of casting out nines that the remainder of the numerator is just 2+5+0+…=7. Multiply by the 40 again to get the original remainder of 280.
