I don’t click on threads where I have a fairly good guess what the content of the posts are. Like most hot topic debate threads.
I wont open a thread once it goes past 2 pages unless I’ve already posted. There’s almost always way too much reading and everything that has been said has typically already been said.
Politics, lame rants, sports (BORING!), cat/dog threads… there are more but I’m tired… TIRED, I say!
as Fairy Chat Mom said, it depends on my boredom level. but usually I will not touch those threads that really put the “M” in MPSIM. like “What are you having for lunch today?” or “Ouch! I just tripped on my shoelace!”
i also leave alone politics, especially regional ones. and i think the “I hate Bush so much” threads are getting old. (and i do hate Bush so much)
Any thread with the words “TMI” plus “period”.

I know it’s your special day and I respect that, but it’s not worth my time to read about it.[/li][li]Threads announcing someone reaching a post count milestone.[/li][/ul]
I hate to say “Refuse” but:
Posts with a low read/response ratio (not counting virgin posts–who can resist a virgin post!?)
Pits against Handy (it’s been done)
Celebrity gossips
More than 2 pages (unless I’ve been participating) cuz I can’t pay attention long enough to read the entire thread, and ya oughtta do that before you post to it
The game threads, after a certain point. They’re okay on page one or page two, but not page ten.
Threads with the “heavy” debate topics. I’ll exclude homosexuality because I have a personal interest in the topic, but everything else that is GD material. Nothing against the threads themselves, but I come here to relax and not overtax my brain.
Pitting an individual poster. It’s so often just a pile-on.
But I don’t mind TMI threads. Once you’ve been here a while, I think you probably lose the ability to be squicked by anything.

Mostly the serious ones, like most of GD. And I don’t read much in Cafe Society. I read an awful lot of the rest, though. I’m fairly shameless. I’ve posted TMI in threads where I know my MOTHER will see it!
