I tend to avoid Dopefest followup threads for the fests I didn’t attend - it bums me out that I couldn’t go.

I generally avoid post party threads. I never understood the appeal, and they have become a lot more uncommon lately.

Look, I know people need to vent, and driving is a daily potential danger and source of aggravation, but I can invoke my Great Karnak powers of prognostication and predict that the OP will be one or more of these:

[li]I got cut off[/li][li]I got stuck behind somebody slow[/li][li]I got tailgated by somebody fast[/li][li]I almost or did get in an accident that was clearly not my fault[/li][li]I had to slow down to a crawl in a construction zone[/li][li]I got BEEPED at when I didn’t take off fast enough for the green light…the NERVE![/li][/ul]
Same OP, different author. Been there, done that, wrote the book, went on tour, made the movie, collected money, died. I don’t need to read it more than once to understand traffic sucks!

Kitty or Puppy threads. You can’t figure out what to name your puppy? You think it’s oh so cute that your kitty cat hid chipmunk brains in your sock drawer this morning? OK, whatever, it doesn’t interest me.

Threads about movies and TV shows that I don’t watch.

Threads in Great Debates about whether or not God exists. I’ll find out soon enough.

Most Celebrity threads. Couldn’t care less. Ditto TV or movie threads involving shows/films I don’t/haven’t watched.

Cutesy pet threads.

Vanity threads (It’s My Birthday! My Billionth Post! Which Doper Has The Bestest Whatever? blah blah blah)

Most sex threads. Get a room.

Threads about how slow the SDMB is. Yeah, we know. Help speed things up by not wasting bandwidth complaining about the speed.

Game threads; “Ask The Insert Know-It-All Here”; “In Which Someone Does Something”

And…uh…any threads started by that asshole SPOOFE.

Most TMI threads, and threads about threads I refuse to click on. Usually I’ll just read whatever sounds interesting, I don’t have guiding principles about it.
