What to do with this tiramisu mascarpone?

I once made a ricotta, confectioner’s sugar, fruit and puff pastry dessert. My husband enjoyed it so much that a few days ago, he purchased tiramisu mascarpone so that I could do “that fried cheese and apple thing” again. Thing is, I don’t have any puff pastry, or fruit and the mascarpone is coffee flavored.

Also, I’d like to know what else can be done with this cheese. Any ideas or recipes would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t have the recipe, but a a friend made baked pears with mascarpone and some kind of syrup for a dinner party. Very good, you might try to find a similar recipe.

Could you use it as a bagel spread?

Put a little sugar and cinnamon in it and layer it with strawberries and blueberries in a pretty glass. Voila.

Fill crepes with it for breakfast.

Why not use that tiramisu mascarpone to make some tiramisu? A package of ladyfingers, some kahlua (or coffee is you want to share it with the kids) and cocoa powder, and there you are.

Mix it with some crème de marrons (chestnut cream), a dash of rum and coat with cocoa powder. Heavenly!

Yes, make Tiramisu, it’s very easy. You also need some eggs, some strong black coffee and you should really use Marsala Wine to be authentic.

You can also layer it on a baked meringue (it’s a lot easier to make than it sounds) with some chocolate/ganache for a tasty treat. Fold in some whipped cream and/or creme de cacao for extra oomph.

Oooh, tiramisu does not involve baking? That shows you how much I know. Ladyfingers seeped in Kahlua, that sounds heavenly!

Take the ladyfingers and cut them in half lengthwise. Pour some kahlua (or coffee) in a shallow dish and put the lady fingers in, cut side down, for a few seconds to soak up some of the kahlua.

Then make a layer of ladyfingers in a loaf pan. Cover them with mascarpone. Add another layer of ladyfingers and mascarpone. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top.

Put it in the fridge to chill for a few hours. Slice and serve.

This is obviously a simple tiramisu recipe. You can make it fancier with eggs and wine and chocolate shavings and other stuff.
