Squeeeeeeee! I got to drive his <very large SUV that shall remain nameless> back to his house!
pssssh. hockey groupie.
Those cookies don’t taste anything like Girl Scouts.
I love Tagalongs myself. Girl Scout cookies always make me nostalgic.
doublepost
smacks **VBob ** on the back of his head.
#1 son is one handsome SOB! Who knew, under all that hair? (I did).
And I got the interview done that I needed to–now to write it up.
Roast chicken is in the oven. I think I’ll make rice and a salad, too. Daughter comes back tonight from whatever she was doing in Springfield. We have tentative plans to go to the garden show–in Schaumburg (could it be any farther away?) tomorrow.
Then work on Sunday and more homework etc.
I don’t like GS cookies. I hated selling them–they either renamed them since the 1970s or I was one confused child. I can’t imagine them brined. <passes out from sheer nausea>
Off to surf a bit, do some (more) laundry and homework. I’d offer to do the MMP for 3/17, but St Pats is a Catholic holiday and I’m not. Sure, they try to make it an Irish one, but we Orange Irish don’t celebrate Patty’s Day. We celebrate William of Orange day–which (not so coincidentally) happens to be my birthday!
I thought of this (I think) cool opening sentance:
It was raining, a steady, persistant rain, a good for the crops sort of rain, a rhythm on the roof sort of rain. But the store was a mile away, and she had neither car nor umbrella.
I think I’ll start a “Let’s write a story” thread.
I’d like to third or fourth or fifth the TGIF!!!.
I’ve been home for about an hour, I think. We’re having a Level 1 snow emergency (=there’s lots of snow, don’t park on streets that need to be plowed, please) and it’s supposed to be snowing some more tomorrow. Not sure if I’ll be going to a couple of events tomorrow afternoon; if it’s messy, I think I’ll stay home.
I got Tagalongs this year and ate them while working on my special project this week. They were good. I did not share.
I’ve got you down for the 24th, rosie. Anyone want to be Irish on the 17th? (I can come up with something in a pinch, but don’t know that I have anything special for that day…)
You have the most fun job, doggio not. Hope it went well.
There’s more that I wanted to say, but I haven’t had dinner yet and am actually getting hungry.
I’ma go forage and be back in a bit…
GT
Yeah-what is this 2-6 inches we’re supposed to get tonight? What is with all this snow this year? NO MORE SNOW! (and it takes a lot of snow to get me to say that).
I took my sweetie out for Mexican food, made by real Mexicans. There’s a little place called Cerro Grande not to far from here, and so far, I’ve found 2 things on the menu that I like. And that makes him happy, since he loves Mexican food.
Bow we’re home, digesting, and relaxing. Not a bad way to end the work week.
Yeah and they don’t taste like Samoans either! It’s a rip off!
So, am I to understand that some of y’all want Girl Scout pickles?
Evenin’ Y’all! We went and had dindin at the good Eyetalian place. We is stuffed. I was lookin’ over their drinks list and saw “Italian Margarita”. Hmmmm… thinks I, just gotta know, so I ordered one. Tasty. Like a really good margarita. Dunno what made it Eyetalian. It was strong too. MMMMMMM…
OK, that’s all I got for now.
Stoopid compooter of mine or rather stoopid IE made me miss the edit window. GRRRRRR…
Anywho, MOOOOOM here’s ya a purtytube top fer da weddin’!
Oh, Mr. Swampington, that is *soooooo * me! And red is my favorite color!! So, should I go with a red thong, too, or try for a contrast??
Those are my fave too! And they come in that convienant single serve container… :smack:
Girl Scout pickles??? What did I do?
damn - I was thinking the same thing as I polished off the lemon cremes
yes. And thigh high patent leather boots with stiletto heels. And a dog collar.
Um…something happened to my roast chicken. It must have been less thawed than I thought, since it was not done in the middle-but that’s what microwaves are for! It was very good, btw, once it was eaten.
I finished one homework assignment and the third load of laundry is in the dryer. I managed to get most of my list done today–and the night is young.
We must be late in the cycle, 'cause I haven’t gotten our cookies yet! I want my cookies…
Nobody asked me if I wanted cookies!
I don’t have any cookies!
Is it too late?
Where can I get cookies???
I’ve gone through a box of Tagalongs and have half of a box (a nice single serving) of Thin Mints left at home. I think I’ll save those for Sunday after I get off work. Thanks to an otherwise excellent coworker of mine who asked for today and tomorrow off, I have to be here until 9 on Saturday to close the office and be back at 8 in the morning on Sunday to open. It’s not really that bad, but it’s just irritating enough that I was picking on him about it yesterday. I don’t mind either, it’s just back to back that bugs a bit. And yes, I’ve had to get off at 11 and be back at 7 at another job, so I know this isn’t that bad.
I should have though to ask the Brownies I bought my cookies from how long they’re selling for. I hope they or another troop will be out there maybe Monday so I can get more. Yes, that makes me something of a pig, but they’re a once a year thing. Perhaps I will even bring in a box to work to share…no…cookies…MINE!..
My boss told us about three times today about the time change Sunday night. I haaaaaaaaaate the change.
