{{{Pie}}} hope this gets resolved soon.
Yay on the raise Taxi!
Yays, boos, hugs, congrats etc. as appropriate or inappropriate even.
I am quite sure the movement of the medicine cabinet was f-aaaaaa-bu-lous.
I’ve had teh sick. Nuttin’ big though. A little fever, general achieness (achyness?), stopped up sinuses and headache. It’s better now though. No more fever at least. It was nice to be able to reach in the freezer and pull out some chicken noodle soup yesterday and today. Yay for big ol’ slow cooker/oven thingys that allow one to make big batches of soups, stews, etc.!
That’s all I got for now. I may take knockout drugs soon and go sleepy bye so’s I can go to work tomorrow. I didn’t go today.
Later Y’all!
Yeah, it was 16" to the left. And he didn’t even patch the holes from the old installation.
I don’t know - nights in my head are bizarro world.
Hell, most of the MMP guys and a couple MMP girls have a crush on you. What’s one more?
Well of course he didn’t! He had to go out and find the right shade of stuff with which to patch the holes plus there was the whole needing to find just the right shade of paint and, what with the new paint, there was a need for brand new tile, light fixtures, a new tub, a new toilet, curtains and accessories. The poor thing’s probably exhausted from all that planning.
four hours and 45 minutes. and my cousins are here because one of them has a kidney stone. also some weird guy just came over and is talking to my dad like he’s known him for 20 years. strange.
F-bomb. I am going to have to go to the airport tonight. Complicated Roommate got a direct flight from Minneapolis to Raleigh. He’s supposed to get in around 11.
Go to weather.com and type in 27834 for the zip code. See that nasty band of green and yellow? I’m going to be driving through that in an hour. Tornado watches here until 3vil Hours. My car’s storm driving capabilities: let me find out about them so I can show you them.
Here’s hoping you get seen soon, Pie. ER waiting rooms blow. At least you have crazy people to entertain you!
Wow, I can’t believe you’re still there, Pie. Hope they get to you soon. I suppose it’s nice that you get to have a family reunion.
Yay for the raise, taxi!
Tea sure is a cutie, kai!
Yes - where is Taters?
I would love to go to Israel sometime. Of course, I have a whole list of places I’d like to visit. When I win the lottery, I’ll be touring the whole MMP.
Smoked meat sandwiches sound good. I’d also like to actually visit Canada. Maybe someone could pay me to travel around the world and eat stuff?
Hope you have a safe drive to the airport, Spaz. So what aspect of Puerto Rican lit are you writing about? (I keep meaning to ask…)
I voted early (but not often, sorry Noonie). There were a whole lot of people for that hour. But they’ve actually improved our precinct set up. There are actually two precincts that vote at the school and there used to be 6 machines per precinct. They now have them programmed so that you select the precinct you’re voting in when you start, so we’re able to have all 12 machines in use the whole time. (I, of course, live in the precinct that tends to have a higher turnout.) I was quite pleased. I’ve also decided to change my last name; my line (S-Z) had 6 or seven people in it while the other lines had 2 people in them, max.
Did I mention I received a robo-call from the person running in the primary for our Congressional seat? At 11:05 p.m. last night. Guess who I didn’t vote for? I’ve decided that pretty much anyone who robo-calls automatically loses points. I’m going to vote for her opponent in the fall anyway (different party).
Oh, and I actually got literature from Lindon LaRouche’s PAC yesterday. Dropped off on my doorstep. Who knew he still existed? Still wacko as ever.
Long day at work, but I got tons done. The end of the current emergency rush rush item appears to be near. And then it will be off to the next one. At least I was in a better mood today.
But I’m tired. I’m guessing I’ll be crawing into bed very early.
Hugs to all who need them.
GT
I firmly believe that adult people should get themselves from airports, especially when they’re EXES.
I am constantly amazed at the paucity of selection on TV at present. There is NOTHING on. I’m going to avoid my homework by reading in bed. Bah.
I’m not surprised at the 4+ hour wait. You are stable and not experiencing chest pain, ergo, you wait. (sorry–it sucks to wait).
Lindon Larouche? I thought he was dead!
Oh, jeeze, it’s Tuesday already! I haven’t even posted!
So much going on this week-
We finally closed on our house Monday. Hooray! We picked up my sister and she was the first other than us to see it.
We bought the washer and dryer today, anyone know anything about the Kenmore HE steam washer and dryer? I went all out, and I’ve read that the steam will be a stain’s worst nightmare. With a family like mine, I need all the help that I can get.
Tomorrow I have to be at the house for the delivery of the washer and dryer. I hope Sears is accurate on delivery times. I have a two hour window from 12:30 to 2:30, and my oldest has a counseling session at 4:30.
My furniture came in today! We’ll be picking that up on Firday! Hooray for Firday!
Thursday I’m meeting an old school friend for lunch, I haven’t seen her in thirteen years, and we caught up on myspace.
I got my invite to Ravelry! I started putting my stash on. I have a long way to go.
Catches breath
There! There’s been my hectic week! I’ve only been able to read in spurts, and will be the same for the rest of the week I believe. Maybe at night I’ll have more time. So Hugs to who needs them, and confetti in inappropriate places!
Home, hurtin’, tired. We have a tornado watch now. I’m watching the Blackhawks(my second favorite team) on CIO.
Sorry about the wait, CutiePie. Maybe rigs could do something for you.
Get better soon, swampy.
Congrats, on the raise, taxi!
:Waves at Puck Primate: You goin’ to Thursday’s game?
:sings: If marrying Haze is wrong, I don’t want to be right…
We here for you, Haze, what ever you do.
Drive careful, Spaz
hooray! finally in a bed. waiting to take a ‘test’ only 5 hours. i feel bad for my cousins, though.
Glad you finally made it in, Pie!
Hi Tagfree! Congrats on the closing!
Where’s Shadow this week? (The knitting reminded me.)
Off to beddie bye…
GT
Well, if we really loved each other, it wouldn’t be illegal.
Tired. Fuck papers. Need sleep.
got nausea meds waiting on test results. need to be at work in about 5 hrs. not sure how that is going to work.
I am my own night shift apparently.
Well, I’d say that was fairly anti-climactic (how do you spell that word anyways?).
Before I give away my mysterious diagnosis, let me say that I am glad that I went. Otherwise who knows how long this would have continued on.
Drumroll please…
I have a UTI.
I know you’re all thinking what I’m thinking. How in the hell did my (soon to be former) family doctor miss this? I have no answers.
All I know is that I have to be at work in 4 hours and I am not happy about it. Also forgot to mention that while I was in the hospital there was a bit of drama here at home. Apparently the PiePups found my mom’s secret stash of Hershey’s Kisses and ate them all. Fortunately, it was 1 lb of chocolate between the 3 of them, and the vet said that for their weight they would have had to eat a whole pound by themselves to cause serious concerns. They all seem fine and ready to go to bed.
And that’s where I’m headed too. For a short nap.
**Spaz **-- I hope you got back safely! And yes, Tel-Aviv is some 40 miles North of the Gaza Strip, and totally unaffected by the fighting there. If anything, the prevailing attitude among many here is that most of the country isn’t involved enough in what’s happening in Sderot and Ashkelon. I happen to think that continuing to lead our lives as normally as possible is the best answer to terrorism, but hey, what do I know?
**Haze **-- are you insinuating you’re not sure Doggio really loves you? You know, he’s not the only fish in the sea. Just sayon’ is all
**Cutie **-- this is just unbelievable in this day and age  I hope this Doctor (and I use the term loosely  ) misses you, too! (when you switch)
At least now they know what you have and can treat you… Hope you got some shut-eye before heading off for work.
Other yays, boos, etc. as appropriate!
I see **Taters **logged in as late as 7 hours ago, so she’s probably OK (:crossing fingers: ). But it would be nice if you check in and get up to stop worrying, you hear me, young lady?! BooFae, OTOH, hasn’t even logged into the boards since Feb. 22! **Boo **-- you OK!?
Oh, I completely understand why your doctor missed the diagnosis, Pie. It was for the same reason the pediatrician once missed the diagnosis when I took my brightly jaundiced son in (who was later diagnosed at the Children’s Hospital ER with hepatitis A, which is a short-acting virus that doesn’t linger or cause permanent damage {although it was really fun quarantining my son at home for three weeks while he recovered} when I wouldn’t believe the pediatrician saying “he’s just got a sallow complexion” – he looked like a damn banana or something!) – total stupidity. Did your (soon to be former) family doctor even perform any tests, or did he just dismiss your symptoms? Idiot. (The pediatrician in question failed to run any tests, and when I called her the next day to report the diagnosis, was extremely embarrassed. Fortunately, she was only a sub for our regular doctor, but to this day I’m still pissed off over the 6-hour wait in isolation in the Children’s Hospital ER we ended up sitting through!)
Aargh. Apparently I’m feeling grumpy this evening.
Rusty the thunderboomer-phobic dog is doing surprisingly well. It doesn’t hurt that he was well and truly drugged up before the front arrived; he spent about 10 minutes cowering under my desk trembling, but is now doing much better. Although I don’t dare try to go back to my regular bed; I’m going to have to sleep, at least for a couple of hours, in the spare room here with him. (We don’t allow the dogs in our bedroom – the last thing we need is 160 lbs of dogs sharing our bed!)
Calling Taters! Where are you, Taters? Come back, we love you and miss you!
I think it’s perspective, Special One – around here, 40 miles is literally right next door. Heck, Papa Tigs drives that far to work every day. If there were serious violence that close to us, we’d be totally freaked out. But that’s because this is a huge country space-wise, whereas you live in a teensy country so 40 miles seems much farther away. If that makes sense. But in any case, I’m very glad to hear Israel is as safe as you say – it’s not at the top of my “someday” travel list, but it’s definitely on it. Heck, I think one of us Mumpers should hit the Powerball and win $175 million so we could all go on a Mumpers round-the-world tour! Wouldn’t that be fun?
I’m babbling. I think I need to get some sleep. Night-night!
Pronounced: \ˈwä-fəl
I agree with Mork. How do you know this?! :dubious:
Why does that P look like an F every time I read past this?
Waffle?
**
CP**, that’s so weird. Don’t they have a test for UTI’s that they could give at the doctor’s office? Did I miss part of the story?
