What tune was number one the day you were born?

Hound Dog/Don’t Be Cruel by Elvis.

11/13/1952 … “I Went to Your Wedding” by Patti Page

Not one that seems to have stood the test of time…sort of like me. :frowning:

“I Feel Fine” by The Beatles.

Actually I feeling achy and cranky and Jayjay but not necessarily in that order…

Oh, don’t feel bad. You’re younger than my mother.

By 10 months and 6 days.

“That’ll Be the Day” by The Crickets.

LittlePoysyn got a cool one -

Lose Yourself - Eminem

Cool, another double 10:er. Did you know that we share birthdate with Thelonius Monk?

I guess my problem is that I really don’t like 80s music. I grew up listening to “oldies” so I recognize and enjoy most of the 60s and 70s songs that others have posted. Definitely classics.

I was exactly 22 years later, Zoe (July 14, 1965). I got one of the greatest-ever rock songs: “Satisfaction” by Stones.

But I’m not a big fan of the song. And my problem is probably too much satisfaction.

Moonbaby got a good one:

“Baby Boy” by Beyonce (10/1/03).

Ugh. “Rhinestone Cowboy” by Glen Campbell, how gawd awful.

Even better, I might have been conceived to the tune of “Kung Fu Fighting” by Carl Douglas, how seventies.

“Blue Velvet” by Bobby Vinton

September, 1963

Hell, it could have been worse. At least it’s not Honey!

“Hey! Baby” by Bruce Channel

Damn. Now I have to go find it and listen to it.

“96 Tears” by ? and the Mysterians.

Make of that what you will.

Wow! I almost didn’t start this thread, because I didn’t think it would fly!
Thanks for surprising me.

Oh God – another thread to make me feel old. According to the link: “There are such things” by Tommy Dorsey. Well, I know of the band and have heard some of their work, but I’m not a fan of the big band sound. Don’t think I’ve ever heard that particular song. I’m a '70’s kind of gal.

Hey, if we’re talking about songs we may have been conceived to, then I get to go back exactly 9 months from Feb 10, 1973 (to May 10, 1973), and the song was…

“The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” by Roberta Flack

"Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) by the Temptations.

Excellent! I love that song!

The Three Bells by the Browns. Only one of said bells applies so far to my life – I was obviously born (August 30, 1959), but have yet to marry or die. When I was conceived, The Teddy Bears’ To Know Him Is to Love Him might well have been topping the charts. I’m glad there’s at least one Doper who agrees that the title applies to me.

For myself: “Everyday People” by Sly & the Family Stone

Mr Stillwell: “I Can’t Stop Loving You” by Ray Charles

Stillwell Junior: “The Power of Love” by Celine Dion
