What TV series have yet to be released on DVD?

That’s the one I came in here to mention…
sigh

I’m still awaiting the release of My Mother the Car.

What???

No, but Season One gets release August 25, 2009.

Another half effort. Anything But Love, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Richard Lewis, ran 56 episodes. There was an official volume 1 DVD release of the first 28 episodes in 2007. Apparently it didn’t sell, because there’s never been a volume two.

James at 15 (a.k.a. James at 16). I barely remember the original run from 1977-78 and I’d love to watch it again.

I’m still waiting for more** Family.** Season one came out a few years ago. Since then, nothing.

This should tide you over a bit. YouTube is starting a service similar to Hulu where they have reached agreements with networks and producers to provide streaming full TV episodes. They have a few episodes of My Mother The Car.

They even have all three seasons of Star Trek: The Original Series.

The American version of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” had two DVD releases and then inexplicably quit, well short of the first season’s worth.

Also, “The Carol Burnett Show.” I realize that’s 10 years worth of material, most of which is probably ensnared in the music rights, but hell … that’s 10 years of sketch comedy, too. What’s the damn holdup?

I’d like to see a more complete release of “Have Gun Will Travel”, I have poor quality digital copies of the whole series and it’s quite good from beginning to end.

And of course more British stuff in the U.S.; “Life on Mars”, “Peep Show”, “Big Train”, “Funland” and probably tons of things I’ve never even heard of.

I think the TV on DVD market might be dying down but maybe these things will have a better chance of coming to some kind of streaming service, Netflix already has some stuff that’s not on DVD (e.g., “Kojak” seasons 2+).

Seasons 7 and up of King Of The Hill. There are quite a few good episodes that deserve to be released officially.

The episode I watched played “I Will Follow” by U2, original version. And there was definitely some Earth, Wind & Fire from Venus in one episode (the bomb in the remote tower?). Those are the only 2 that come to mind, but there was no question it was the actual songs.

The next installment of Animaniacs. Just release them all, damn you.

I want an American release of Clone High.

The HBO Series Dream On. Probably never happen…

mine is a made for tv movie…Stompin at the Savoy. I so want to see/own this movie.

It was released in 2007. But apparently it’s out of print or whatever the DVD equivalent is. Old copies are still available on Amazon.

I want to get First Wave on DVD. Every time they do reruns on the SciFi channel, I save them to my TiVo, and have burned several DVDs of them (and have a lot gathering dust on my TiVo) but they never show all of them and never in the right order, so it makes it really hard. :frowning:

Days and Nights of Molly Dodd.

Will we ever see King of the Hill past season six released on DVD? What’s the holdup, guys? It can’t be music rights, since you apparently managed to get clearance for all the music excerpts that appear in the first six seasons.

Season 1 of Life Goes Onis the only one released. Must have not sold well.
