Damn. I was going to say I’d add another $10,000 and get a c.1970 Cessna 172 Skyhawk.
I’m already having an MGB restored, so I guess that’s out.
Do we have to spend all of the money? If so, I’d get a Toyota Tacoma Extended Cab, 4-cyl. manual transmission, and a Yamaha R1. Either that, or I’d get another used Porsche 911/Carrera.
Well, if replacing my wife’s car, a sedan, I’d go with a several year old Lexus…or an Infiniti sedan…something certified and pre-owned. (I would want a BMW or Mercedes, and could likely find one, but don’t want expensive maintenance or parts.)
If replacing my vehicle (a 2001 Dakota Quad Cab), I’d have to find something similar, so it to would be used and be the same kind of truck - another Dakota Quad Cab - or maybe the Ford F150 SuperCrew (also 4 doors).
To be totally frivolous: a 60’s or early 70’s American Muscle car.
A new Mazda6 - V6, stick shift, spoiler, 6 disk changer, all the goodies - except the “ground effects” molding, that looks stupid. I’ve taken a test drive. It’s really fun to drive!
I just bought a “new” car in December, and pretty much have all I want now, so, I’ll say a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE with manual transmission and with the rest of the cash, fix up the Fiat (fresh paint and body work, new steering arm, powder coat the wheels) and a remanufactured transfer case for the Ford pickup (model 1356 if anybody out there has one cheap).
Still money left! Give me a Ural with sidecar. That did it.
Fagjunk Theology: Not just for sodomite propagandists anymore.
gatopescado: What kind of Fiat? I totally dig the Ural with the sidecar – or even without the sidecar. (But I think I’d prefer a Royal Enfield “Bullet”.)
