What was the answer to that musical question? Or I've been listening to oldies again.

Did Dr. Hook ever make it on the cover of The Rolling Stone?

Was Casey Jones ever bought up on reckless train driving charges?

Did Ringo Starr ever find the door?

Did Little Willy ever go home?

Do any of you know what the hell I’m going on about? 1000 extra bonus points if you know and are under 21.

Well,k I know whaqt you mean, but I don’t know the answers (which of course are Blowing in the Wind). I am really wondering about the Dr Hook one now - cos just a moment before I opened this, I had another Dr. Hook song runnning in my head.

wow - I haven’t thought about “Little Willie” for years (decades or so, even!).

Ah, the Sweet - anybody remember what was on the B side of the American 45 for Little Willie?

Anybody?

It was: Blockbuster (“Buster, buster, Blockbuster!!!”)

They were cool to this 7th grader.

Aint two out of three pretty sucky?

The cracks on the wall were just an excuse, he really was in love wasn’t he?

When you freed your mind, did your ass follow?

Did she mind that Elton put it down in words? And were they blue or green?

Well, not all the answers are “Blowing in the Wind”. Dr. Hook did make it to the cover of the Rolling Stone, the 3/29/73 issue, to be exact. (Although the song was written by Shel Silverstein, who also wrote “Boy Named Sue”.)

Yep - Rolling Stone Issue 131 (March 29, 1973). You can see it here.

Alas, Little Willie never did go home, because, well, you can’t push Willie. No, Willie won’t go.

I knew if they had someone here would have a link to it.

You guys are the best!

Where, o’ where are you tonight?

Why did you leave me here all alone?

Who DID write the Book of Love?
