First LP: Steve Miller Band, Children of the Future. Gift from my now dead brother. Still might have it somewhere.
First CD: Flim and the BBs, This is a recording. CD was a new medium, and this disk was intended to exploit it. The sound was incredible after a lifetime of scratchy vinyl.
First DVD: Some instructional thing on how to replace windows. Still don’t own any bluray media.
The first CD(s) I owned were the 10 I got from joining Columbia House. I got them before I even got my own player because my roommate in college had a CD player on his stereo.
It mortifies me to say that the one of the first owned was Batman and Robin because it came with my player. I bought a couple of others at the same time but that w sin there and I have never watched it to this day almost 15 years later.
I got a few DVD/Blu ray combo packs before I even owned an HD TV let alone a Blu Ray player so one of those was my first Blu Ray.
ETA: First LP were a couple of Monkees albums. I didn’t buy them though, my brother gave me them.

For those who are unaware, HD DVDs went head-to-head with Blu-Rays in a format war that started around 2002 and ended a few years later. Everyone knew just one format would emerge, and most were gun shy about investing in one or the other.
Also, I cannot believe I forgot VHS and Betamax. Don’t know what my first VHS was (Field of Dreams sounds right), never had a Betamax tape.
