What was the last river you crossed?

I cross the River of Lost Souls multiple times a day.

Does the Erie Canal count? If not, then the Genesee River.

St. John’s River, 1 hour ago.

The Brazos, this morning, but not in Waco.

The Mohawk, when I drove up to Saratoga a couple of weeks ago.

The Thet, which ain’t much of a river, but there you go.

I cross the Rocky River (just west of Cleveland; probably not the only river in the world by that name) once each way on my daily commute. The Cuyahoga I don’t cross so often right now, but still pretty often. Oddly, neither of them is probably the most recent: I went down to Columbus on Friday, and we probably crossed a few rivers on the way, though I’m not sure offhand what any of them are.

I’ve also crossed the Ohio, Missouri, Mississippi, Yellowstone, Rio Grande, Colorado, Columbia, Niagara, Potomac, and Shannon rivers at various times in my life, and floated the headwaters of the Missouri, but none of them recently.

The Los Angeles river, recently re-designated as navigable. They are now running kayaks down it. Cement sides for most of it’s length and I doubt it is 2 ft deep.

Snake. Three days ago.

The last river I crossed (yesterday) was the Rouge River, on the eastern boundary of Toronto. All subsequent streams have been too small to be named “river” (Lynde Creek, Oshawa Creek, etc, etc).

It’s always been navigable. My understanding is that it’s illegal to make an action movie in LA without a car chase down the LA Culvert.

The American River twice daily. The Sacramento River several times a week.

(mumble grumble stupid central valley drivers)

The East River, multiple times daily.

If you ever visit southern Oregon, you can cross the Rogue River and you’ll have a matched set.

N. Canadian just a few minutes ago. Saw some Red River mud Friday.

The Matasnillo River, which runs through the middle of Panama City. It’s essentially an open sewer, but hopefully that will change once the new sewage treatment plant is in operation next year.

The last major river I crossed was the Chagres, last week. This is a considerably nicer experience.

East River, New York.

ETA: It actually may have been the Connecticut and/or Thames, in CT. Memory fail!

The Cheat River would have been my last unless you count the Monocacy or Patapsco.

I just got back from riding my horse over the Little River bridge. (Lebanon, ME)

Just today I crossed the Indian River although despite the name, it’s a lagoon rather than a river. Before that, last week I crossed the St John’s River.
