I once watched *Clue *every day for about two months one summer when I was in my early teens. I even took notes so I know which ending is the correct one.
*Titanic *came out my senior year of high school. Our prom was *Titanic *themed.
I don’t hate you, I hate James Cameron.
After the first two PotA movies, the theater local to us would run the previous movies along with, or the maybe the day before, the newest release. They even did an all 5 PotA marathon (talked about in another thread) at least a couple of weekends. So, we got to see a lot of damn dirty apes.

I’m also 52. I saw the usual number of movies in the 70s. But never got “obsessed” with one. Nor did I ever, then or since, see a movie more than once in the theater.
The Poseidon Adventure. Saw it 6-8 times in the theatre the first six months it was out. Still trying to find out why 20-30 seconds of Rev. Scott’s “suicide speech” were cut out after the initial run.
The same. Really, the idea of paying to see a movie twice was just nuts, until I started dating and hit upon the old “we liked it so much we saw it again” and “oh, he hadn’t seen it” gambits. I remember really liking “Raiders of the Lost Ark” but never considered paying to see it twice.
