In first grade, a friend’s son snuck in a bottle of whiskey sours mix. No alcohol, but he didn’t know that. He shared sips with everyone at lunch, thinking they’d all get hammered.
The teacher found out and was mortified. My friend eventually calmed the teacher down, repeatedly pointing out there was no alcohol consumed.

I know I’m late to the thread, but I wanted to add a couple after reading. In junior high/middle school, one of my classmates went home after school and found his dad hanging dead in the living room. He was out of school for a couple weeks. When he returned, he didn’t want to talk about it to anyone, but you could tell he was having a hard time. A few weeks later, his mother came home and found him hanging dead in the same spot as his dad. Total waste of a nice guy and I can’t help but wonder if he had the help available to students now, that maybe he could of worked his way thru it. Old days sucked in a lot of ways.
In high school, a student disappeared. Just a middle of the class student. not in any cliques or clubs. I didn’t know him by name, but I saw him enough to recognize him. A few days later he was found dead 70 miles upstream in a river. Details are murky, but I remember he had head wounds and his pockets were full of rocks. It was ruled suicide, but I don’t think it was ever explained how or why a carless guy went 70 miles away, filled his pockets with rocks and jumped in a river when he lived about 6 blocks away from the same river.
This one is fucked up. The remarriage so soon for the husband, and reconciling with his dad a couple years later just muddle things up more.
I wonder if we hear about these things and sex with students because they are common or because they are uncommon? Because they sure make the news a lot.
This seems very common too. I was seeing a woman who was a gymnast up until college and her high school coach was had been arrested molesting/having sex some of the gymnasts. He rolled out the old “it was consensual” line but some were under the 16 year old age of consent and the others said they were forced into it. Considering the guy was a 50 year old guy that was probably 150 pounds overweight, I don’t think the girls were clamoring after his affections.
That’s a lot of dedication on his part. He had a five year plan and he stuck with it. Many people lack that kind of resolve. 
That’s not fair, we need to see the lyrics to judge.
Maybe we went to the same school at the same time, we had this rumor too. My sharp as a tack teenage mind said “why use a frozen hot dog when there are bananas and carrot sticks. And how did she get a frozen dog anyway?”

I personally know two women who married their teachers (no, the marriages didn’t last) and a third who admitted an affair with one. My local school board is currently waiting on an investigator’s report on allegations that the high school administrators covered up a series of allegations against teachers from 25 years ago.
My guess is it was always a lot more common than we knew about.
And before the last 15/20 years, it was all male teachers. Lately it seems like the female teachers are making a run for the lead. It’s no longer acceptable to shrug off female teacher/ male student as “Boy, what a lucky guy! I wish that happened to me!”
Maybe it’s the sexist pig in me, but I don’t really understand what the women teachers are getting out of this kind of thing. For some men, experience means nothing, lack of experience may even be a plus. I don’t think most of them want to spend long nites by the fire reading poetry to the hot cheerleader/band geek . To them, I think it’s more like “Holy crap! Look at me, I’m banging a hot teenager!” Kind of the “just let me put it in somewhere” attitude.
The women do seem to want to have long talks etc. But the sex ends up being quickies ( with high schoolers maybe very quick) in a car or hidden in the classroom. Where is the satisfaction in that for her? It’s like being in high school again.
At my high school our student council president got a teacher pregnant. She was married at the time, got divorced, and married the student. I’m pretty sure they’re still married, almost 40 years later.
Apparently, there is nothing new under the sun. The more things change…

A year or two after graduation, one of my classmates (that I’d known since the 4th grade or so) was found dead in the parking lot of his workplace. He had a bullet wound in the back of his skull. His wallet was open on his body, and his bank and credit cards were missing, along with any cash he may have been carrying.
The coroner ruled his death a suicide, despite there being no gun at the scene.
One of the responding officers was someone that my dad, a career firefighter, knew on a better-than-professional basis. I got the story from him one night when he was at my father’s house playing pool and drinking.
Depending on who or what you believe, Gary Cooper (Grinnell College, class of '26) rode or walked a stolen horse up the stairs to the top floor of one of the dorms.
He left school early but not because of the horse incident.
When I was 24 I dated a woman who was 44 and apparently her thing was dating college aged men, I know she dated an 18 year old once.
Since I eventually asked her why she dated so young she claimed that younger men despite being largely inexperienced were “quicker to reload” so to speak than older men and that they also tended to be much more gracious and romantic to older women than men her age or up to 10 years younger then her.
I imagine female teachers going after students probably feel similar.
Phys Ed teacher. Her parents were good friends with my parents, so one year, we got invited to a Christmas party at her house. In one room, she displayed a sizeable collection of Mardis Gras beads. At a class reunion, gossip stated that she had had an affair with the football quarterback.
Our German teacher was a Holocaust survivor. One day, one of her students came to class dressed in an SS uniform. The principal was not amused. We never saw him after that.
One of the teachers had a daughter enrolled in the school. She got pregnant. So, because of her scandal, he had to move to a different school. It sucked. He was one of the best math teachers we had.
One day, one of the Spanish teachers got married to a Filipina mail-order bride. As far as I know, it did not affect his career, but it caused a LOT of gossip.
A couple of years after I graduated, one of the teachers got arrested for sleeping with a student. At a class reunion, several women said that he never made a pass at them, but he did have a really creepy vibe.
