Nah, the election will be as fair as it can be under the weight of foreign disinfo campaigns, which no Western country seems to be taking at all seriously.
Maybe there will be another anti-incumbent election in’28 but, despite Republicans now in control of the White House, Congress and the Supreme Court, Democrats will be blamed for every problem the nation encounters.

Forget 2028 for now. Democrats need to be putting everything they have into the midterms in 2026.

Given that Trump’s term ends on January 20, 2029, it’s pretty hard to run the country without one - especially if the Democrats control the House of Representatives at that point, as technically the Speaker of the House would be acting President. Any attempts by Trump to become “President for Life” would soon be put down by some combination of a civilian riot and the inaction of the Armed Forces to protect him (“but…but…their duty is to protect the Commander-in-Chief at all costs!” Even if that was true, Trump stops becoming that on 1/20/2029.)
