In reality, there isn’t a huge difference, because Israel was never remotely interested in genociding the Palestinians; but anyone who thinks that is something Israel wanted should be shitting themselves, given that Trump is pretty clearly supportive of the idea (and back in reality, more so than any but the most unhinged Israelis).
Correct; Israel has certainly made some mistakes, but all in all the handling of the conflict is very much in line with prior wars against insurgents under similar conditions.
You’re right, there isn’t a difference. Israel isn’t going to genocide the Palestinians no matter who is in the White House; you’d need a Prime Minister Smotrich or Ben Gvir for that scenario to arise, and anyone familiar with Israel’s internal politics knows that this would be about as likely as getting a President Jill Stein.
But if you had the sort of Israel that had a Prime Minister Smotrich at its helm, and the “Israel is Genociding” crowd clearly thinks that a Netanyahu at the helm is already enough, then Trump clearly would be far worse, because as he’d made it abundantly clear that he would totally approve of such behavior.
