OK- war seems to be looming only hours away. What will you pray for?

Quick victory?

Few casualties?

For the innocent, terrified Iraqi citizens?

For the terrified Iraqi soldiers?

For our men and women to be brave?

For Saddam to leave at the last minute?

For GWB to extend the deadline?

For us to be welcomed as liberators?

For your own loved one who is there?

For the sould of those who will surely lose their life?

What will you ask God for? Please do not post if you are not serious, I know there is ample room for sarcasm within this thread…

For comfort and courage to our military personnel, both overseas and still at home.

I will pray, as I have for many weeks now, for a quick and swift victory. I pray that God bless and keep our men and women in the military from harm, that he steele their courage and enable them to carry with them a sense of pride and resolved determination.

I pray that Iraqi troops surrender peacefully, and cooperate with allied troops.

I pray that Iraqi forces are not turned upon their own people.

I pray that God watches over our President, our leaders, and enable them to do the right thing in the face of adversity. I pray that our leaders carry within them a sense of duty to something higher than money or politics.

I pray that my own family who is even now in harm’s way will be kept safe and will perform their service to their country to the best of their ability.

And I pray for a quiet resolution. I pray for the weakening of the destructive powers aligned against us. I pray for the beginnings of a stabilised middle east, realizing that prayers are not answered overnight.
