But in the context of the thread question what may yet be found is still speculative: the question asks us to imagine what could yet be uncovered that would reverse our adjudication of who’s worse.
Headline from Daily Kos:
Strange bedfellows: Hillary Clinton and Megyn Kelly?
That might do it. Sure would do something.
Backing up a bit, if someone (like me, for instance) was willing to vote for Clinton last week despite what is known about her email “issue,” I don’t see how Friday’s letter would make any difference whatsoever.
As for the content on that laptop, I can’t imagine anything that would change my view that she’s generally competent and slightly left of center. That’s all I ask, especially when she running against a person both completely incompetent and (at least pretending to be) far right.
Your second and third sentences are true, but your first does not follow from them.
It’s true that for “lots of HRC supporters” there’s nothing that could change their minds, but there aren’t enough of such people to win the election on their own. They need a coalition with less die-hard supporters, and those people’s minds are susceptible to change.
[FWIW, it’s inconceivable that there could be anything on Weiner’s computers that would make me vote for Trump, though I’m not a Clinton supporter and will not vote for her either.]
This reminds me of the episode of Chappelle’s Show, where he was being interviewed as a possible jury member in the [URL=“R. Kelly - Wikipedia”]R Kelly sex scandal, where he was accused of urinating on, and having sex with, an underage girl./URL]. In the skit, he was adamant that R Kelly was innocent. Eventually, the following exchange happened:
It would have to be thousands of hours of lost tapes of Trump acting like an actual human being, speaking with eloquence and candor about matters other than himself, and admitting that he really doesn’t believe any of the sexist, racist, fascist, anti-intellectual rhetoric that he’s been spewing under duress for years.
Also a video showing Hillary threatening to murder his entire family and release a plague virus that would wipe out 3/4 of the planet if he didn’t comply.
Then I’d at least mull it over.
Hmmm. Well, which 3/4 of the planet are we talking about?
The wet part.
Like, dolphins? Well, then, Hell no!
I’ll put it this way: With 9 days to go, Trump’s proven negatives are worse than anything that could conceivably be proven about Clinton to shift my vote.
With more time, sure, lots of things can change my vote. But nothing that comes out with 9 days to go will be believed by me. The proof for something so massive will take a lot longer than 9 days to expose, and it will take longer than 9 days for me to consider the consequences of changing my vote.
This. Except it’s not just about the things Trump has already done. It’s about the things he plans to do, they way he thinks, and everything totally repulsive about him. Compared to all that, Hillary reciprocating Weiner’s sexting would be a non-issue.
Er…um…not quite enough. And I don’t have much against the Indians. Except the DH, which is an abomination before God. One must battle heresy in all its forms.
Go, Cubs, Go!
This.
