What would politicians/media/people say about Rush Limbaugh if he died?

Now that the number of Republican conservatives is vaporizing, it is more obvious than ever that quite a few folks listen to Piglet not because they like his views, but because they find him laughable in general. Listening to his delivery is a guilty pleasure – kind of like sniffing to see if that dead dog is still rotting in the field you have to drive past on the way to Walgreen’s.

I’ve always thought that he should be given a chance to play the role of Bobby Trippe in Deliverance. Maybe at retirement – instead of a gold watch.

He is not just a fear and hate monger, he stirs up ignorance and smears it on the minds of well-intentioned but vulnerable people. I wish we could hear some of the intellectually honest Republicans rebuke him.

“Rush Limbaugh SAVED AM radio!”

“I’d have trusted my children with him, if I’d had any!”

“His brother was worse!” (I don’t know if he even has a brother, it’s the punchline to an old joke…)

His personal gravity field held the conservatives together!

Laughter, & a cheer of good riddance.

But Jonah Goldberg at NR would presumably try to defend his memory, somehow.
