What would we have to do to prepare if the Globe was cooling instead of warming?

I was close to putting this in GQ but I thought there would be just as many or more non-factual answers to this question.

If we lived in a society concerned with global cooling, instead of global warming what would we do to begin to prepare for that? If blizzards in the Serengeti were becoming commonplace what changes would we be making? Would we simply evolve into a more snow-savvy society or would we move around and away from the encroaching cold areas? Like we do currently around large sand dune desserts.

What would happen to the commercial fishing industry?

We’d burn more fossil fuels.

We would prepare cites and well-thought responses to argue with guests posting in GD that there’s no such thing as Global Cooling. What else?
