What would you add to this playlist: "Trendy but Melancholy"

I think of the theme of this playlist as “I’m 15 and I feel sorry for myself”. What would you add to it?

Mad World by Gary Jules
Remind Me by Röyksopp
Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye (yeah, yeah, but I like it ok?)
Where Did You Sleep Last Night by Nirvana - unpluged
Life in a Northern Town by Dream Academy

I don’t know the name of the song, but I heard an old one from Evanesence on the radio recently that fits this criteria. “These wounds are much too real. There’s just so much that time cannot erase.”

Hate Me - Blue October

Breathe Me - Sia

Fly on the Windscreen by Depeche Mode

Brick by Ben Folds Five

Hey There Delilah by Plain White T’s

In the realm of lo-fi, melancholy/crazy folky music, We Might Be Dead by Tomorrow and/or I’ll Kill Her by Soko.

The classic Joy Division song New Dawn Fades was a favorite for me when I was a mopey 15-year-old gothy kid. The live Moby cover is nice and melancholy as well.

Valerie Loves Me by Material Issue for cynical teenagish irony
Starlight by The TV Sound for New Wavey bittersweetness
You Know What they do to Guys Like Us in Prison by My Chemical Romance for us-against-the-world rebellion that nonetheless will always end sadly.

That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore - The Smiths
Creep - Radiohead

Almost anything by the Smiths and quite a lot by the Counting Crows.

For the latter, I recommend:
Perfect Blue Buildings; Time & Time again; Raining in Baltimore; Goodnight Elizabeth; A long December; Walkaways; Colorblind

Video Games by Lana del Rey.

Portishead - anything and everything, but especially “Sour Times” and “Only You”
