I’d make it one movie, rather than a trilogy. There’s basically one movie’s worth of plot: “Anakin betrays the Jedi”. There might be room for a second movie AFTER Anakin betrays the Jedi, but IMO it was spending two movies twiddling around when everyone KNEW where the plot was going that really killed the prequels.
