What would you do? Bad, bad, bad beck's CNA is gonna get herself in trouble. I see it coming. She's very good to me, so I really hate this

Thank you for the laugh😁

So, what is the line on the new CNA? I give her a week.

I do have a new CNA.
She’s quiet. I’m quiet too. Kind of a boring day.
I’ve been tasked to try and talk to people during the day, to help with my muteness. I’m tryin’. Really.

She’s older and tiny. She’d never get my face out of puddle of water, if I fell in.

Her name’s Ivy, I feel like there might be an adventure in her. Just gotta coax it out.
Oh, she’s deathly afraid of cats.
I intend on changing this.
Yep she’ll be adopting one before I’m done.:exploding_head:

It is good to have goals!

So Ivy and me are going outside after dinner.
Her first class in cat love will commence.

I got this😁

Most excellent!

Beck, you had better be careful, 'cause

Late at night, while you’re sleepin’
Poison Ivy comes a creapin’ around!

Aaaccckkkk

Bigfoot probably eats poison ivy. Since he’s your bud, I wouldn’t worry.

Must…resist…inappropriate…humor…

I did. So can you.

Y’all be nasty.

See? I got that one. Speaks poorly of my own humor.

Or, it speaks well of it. IMHO.

Went outside after breakfast. No rehab today. Just gotta walk.

Ivy, of course, with me.

We are starting Cat-love lessons today.
I didn’t tell Ivy my plan.
I gave her a cat treat. She said “Tell them not to come close to me”
I told her Cats notoriously don’t follow human rules.

Any way I pitched a treat out and they ran toward it.
I told her to do the same. She tossed it to the back forty. Lol.

I gave her the bag of treats and told her toss them closer.

Walter, the famous ‘other cat’
Came over to me.
Ivy nearly screamed. I told her calm down.
I looked over and she was standing up on the bench. Walter is not one for lap sitting or too much cuddling. Basically he just wants treats.
I finally talked her down. I told her to toss Walter a treat. He was about 5 ft. away. She nearly hit him on the head. And he ate it.

I think that’s enough for Cat-love class 1. She didn’t scream and run. I feel that’s a win.

I was thinking Poison Ivy as Bikini Girls With Machine Guns.

ETA:

Me too.

I think Ivy is probably insisting on another assignment and you’ll have a different CNA soon.

Excellent!
Which forms a very good segue into that conversation with Ivy regarding how many human rules Beck follows … notoriety be dammed.

Well yesterday Ivy didn’t show up to work.
I was thinking, jeez I must be terrible. They only last a day, with me.

Mr Wrekker is even adding bonuses (effectively a bribe) to take all my crap and keeping me from falling off the earth as it spins.

A student nursie gal helped me yesterday, the few times when she wasn’t playing candy crush or texting someone on her phone.

Gah!!
(She was okay with the cats, btw)

Ivy was here this morning.
Thank the Lord.
I have rehab and then we’re going outside. Whoo-hoo!.
Operation CAT-love session 2 will commence.

Beck – I seriously think you should re-think this. Reads to me like Ivy has a phobia. Forcing someone with a phobia to have it inflicted on them isn’t kind. And I know Beck is kind.

I don’t know why they assigned a cat-phobic nurse to accompany a patient who needs cats for their treatment. But let Ivy stay on the far side of the courtyard, please, and monitor you from there while you cuddle the cats. (and keep your helmet on, in case you fall down before she can catch you from there.)

You’re right.
I’m very sure I won’t get very far.

There’s just no reason to be scared. If she can walk down her street and not cross to the other side, when she sees a cat, I’ll feel I’ve helped her.

Mostly I’m teasing her.
I promise to stop if it seems hurtful, or causing her to dispare
Right now it’s a innocent thing.

She can sit it the day room and watch out for me.
