Came across her name while trying to find info on the ‘Bonus Gifts Coupons’ that were seen on products in the late 1960s. She was the face of the program, although I haven’t been able to determine exactly who started it.
From a November 1967 newspaper article, she had claimed to have previously flown under the Golden Gate Bridge and broadcast from a diving bell at the bottom of the ocean–once, for 20 minutes, in 1960.
Little information on her after 1970 or so.
Bonus question: Who was actually behind the ‘Bonus Gifts’ program? Seems like it would have to have been someone ‘bigger’ than just one person to have it on products nationwide. And whatever happened to the program?
Here’s an example of a product with a Bonus Gifts coupon. They would have varying values depending upon the product.
(OK, I tacked on the part about once for 20 minutes in 1960.)
