A young Muslim woman (she was like 16 or 17) had run away from home because she had converted to Christianity. She was on the lam, so to speak, and she had gone to court to prevent her parents from regaining custody of her, fearing that the Muslim community back home would kill her.
I don’t remember her name, or where any of this took place, so I’m at a loss for Google search terms.
Does anyone know the outcome of this story?
Thanks!
I can’t answer the question, because I only vaguely remember the story, myself, but I couldn’t help but notice you refer to her as “Muslim”. This despite the fact that she converted to Christianity (which is the point of the story). That would make her, by definition, NOT a Muslim woman. Just a pointless nitpick.
Do you mean Rifqa Bary from Columbus, Ohio? (Found through a two-second Google search of “muslim teenager Christianity conversion.”)
