There used to be these “Internal Breath Fresheners” that you were supposed to swallow, then they would combat halitosis from the stomach up, by neutralizing smell-producing enzymes in the upper GI tract. They were about the same size as Tic-Tacs, and packaged in similar boxes, but they were little clear pills that rather strongly resembled tiny Vitamin E capsules. And they actually did seem to work.
I remember vaguely that they were taken off the market, but I never learned why. Does anybody remember anything about these?
Do you mean like Breath Asure? Here’s their homepage: http://www.breathasure.com/
It looks like they have a product call Mint Asure, which seems to be the same thing, except minty. I couldn’t find any recall notice or anything like that on Breath Asure, but you’re right - they’re not available anymore. Hmmmmm. Maybe they’re just focusing on their new and improved product and ditched the old one?
The Mint Assure looks pretty much the same as the Breath Assure except for a new minty coating. I don’t know about breath assure, but the mint assure advises pregnant women to cosult their doctor before taking. I didn’t realize parsely oil was that powerful.
What happened was that kid Mikey from the old Life Cereal commercials took some of these and then drank a coke and half an hour later his stomach exploded, so they took them off the market.

No Cliffy I think you are thinking of Lumpy from Leave it to Beaver. Mikey died in a helicopter in Vietnam.
