There’s no philosophy so innocuous or benevolent that it can’t be utilized by evil people to persecute those they hate.
For example, the philosophy that spreading freedom and democracy to other nations is a Good Thing.
Any philosophy can be co-opted, but that’s not what elucidator was talking about.
