What's a "Preterist"?

I’ve checked 3 dictionaries and can’t find the definition to this term (“Preterist”). Anyone know?

“Are you now or have you ever been a member of a communist dishwashing organization?”
Frank Burns, MAS*H

From the Oxford English Dictionary:
Preterist 1: One whose chief interest is in the past.
2: One who holds that the prophecies of the Apocolypse have been already fulfilled.

Hey, thanks, Tris. It’s hard to believe that American Heritage and Merriam-Webster didn’t have this term defined in them.

Ya could’ve asked the left behind members!

Yes, if anyone would know, it would be them.

Hmmm … and here I thought it was somebody who was a terrorist before it became fashionable.

–Da Cap’n
“Playin’ solitaire 'til dawn
With a deck of fifty-one.”

Gee, I’d just have thought it was anyone in favor of the preterite tense.
