Hey, here in the hinterlands I’m happy to have kikkoman. Tho I bet in Asia (and even in parts of Chicago) I could get some truly divine local soy sauces.
I’ve worn Allen Edmonds for 4 decades now, I always have at least 3 active pairs in rotation. When my favorite goes out of style and hence production (the York boot) I search ebay to find a good nearly new pair to put into play.
Best and most comfortable boxer-briefs ever. I never imagined I would spend 30 bucks for a single pair of underwear, but they’re so comfortable, and after two years the seven pairs I have still look and fit like new.
Blue Bell’s in its own class, but there are better Texas brews than Shiner, as iconic as they are. Typically their seasonals are their best offerings.
Of the Texas craft brewers, Karbach (Houston), Live Oak (Austin), Lakewood (Dallas), Southern Star (Conroe), St. Arnold (Houston), Franconia (McKinney) and Deep Ellum (Dallas) are some of my favorites.
And I love the Boar’s Head Rosemary ham. That stuff is awesome!
Goya ginger beer is awesome! However, there once was a fine ginger beer with a popular price: Faygo Brau. Someone needs to market a good hot ginger beer at a regular soda price again!
Cock and Bull’s diet ginger beer is very good, and my local King Soopers carries it.
We always get Asus motherboards.
Quaker oatmeal is better than the store brand.
Hebrew national hotdogs.
Hormel Black Label cherrywood bacon.
The New Balance website sells direct, and if your model number has been replaced with a new number they can tell you that! Great service along with great shoes.
Their furniture is stylish for an affordable price. It isn’t made to last forever, but it manages to be cheaply made in all the right ways.
And the little items they have like bags and umbrellas, amazing value for a dollar or two.
Absolutely. Shoes are an investment. I was born with bad knees, a genetic predisposition to be overweight, and I have EEEE feet and plantar fasciitis. New Balance for work (at a retail mega-mart), Drew or Klogs for dress and future teaching job. Really expensive, but I watch my husband need new shoes every few months because he buys cheap shoes and wonders why he has so many problems with his feet and knees.
Heinz has a good “reduced sugar” ketchup that we prefer. If any other brand has one, I’ve never seen it.
Finally going to get a smart phone, and going with LG, since the best dumb phones we’ve had were LG.
Puffs. Without lotion.
Primo 5-gallon water bottles.
Scott tp.
Pure Gas.
Agree with the beer choices but remember that it was not long ago that Shiner was one of the few decent brands available. Wanted a regional beer? You were stuck with Lone Star which was steer piss in a can.
