Band-Aid bandages.
Another big vote for Kerrygold Butter!!
I don’t think I’ve seen in the thread:
Authentic QTips for cotton swabs;
Nescafe Classico, my preferred caffeine;
Monoprice cables, this one is based on one purchase of about 15 different items, all good;
Kimlan soy sauces.
Already mentioned but worth repeating:
Weber grills, second to none.
Puly mentioned 6-1 tomato sauce which he actually turned me on to in the first place. It really is the best.

[li]I, too, prefer Heinz over Hunt’s, Del Monte, or other brands.[/li][li]And, having tried them, I prefer Kikkoman over Kimlan, Yamasa, etc. (I suspect it’s just about what I grew up with).[/li][li]And, to go under it, Nishiki rice (the style, not the brand, though the branded style is sold locally so it’s easy to get) which is a northern variety.[/li][li]My preferred Ginger drinks are Thomas Kemper and Bundaberg, but from the grocery store I stock up on Seagrams 'cause it’s the best of the super cheap 2-liter offerings.[/li][li]Ruffles potato chips over other brands & generics. (For that matter, Fritos and Cheetos over their generics).[/li][/ul]
My contribution: Ovaltine (chocolate malt) over other chocolate milk flavorings.
–G!
Several ginger beers have been mentioned. My recommendation is Barritts.
And for root beer, go with Virgil’s.
Often the generic brands aren’t even any cheaper, so you aren’t sacrificing much by getting Band-Aid.
Did you have to mortgage your home to pay for it?
Gelato has it all over ice cream. I prefer Ciao Bella or Talenti.
Based on this, and then reading reviews of them versus some competing pens, I ordered a bunch of them. And I have to say thanks, they really are good. Apparently there are a number of clones of other brands that tend to smear or have other issues. Pilots are Japanese made and really good quality.
I tend to prefer medium rather than fine-point ballpoint pens, but these Pilots seem to be rated differently, at least by some sites that consider 0.7 mm to be “fine”. They are actually more like medium in other pens. There’s also a 0.5 mm in the same line that some call “extra fine”. I’ve seen the 1 mm referred to as “bold”.
According to the G2s I bought less than a month ago, 0.5 mm is indeed extra fine, 0.7 is fine. 0.7 would be considered medium in mechanical pencils, not sure I pay attention to pen widths except qualitatively.

I have an ASUS laptop that’s been good for the past four or five years. I like that they don’t load them up with a bunch of bloatware like their competitors do.
Also, Western Digital hard drives. I will not buy anything but.
I’ve got to raise you there… Samsung. Most common point of failure in TVs these days is blown caps. Off brands use the panels that Samsung, LG, Sharp, and others make, but make them cheaper by cutting corners on capacitors and other components. LG makes their own panels, but uses cheap caps to compete on price. Samsung uses better caps, so they don’t die after 5 years. Samsung is worth the extra price.
Kumho tires. Work well, last as long as anything else I’ve tried, and much less than some other tires.
I’ve bought about 7 sets so far.
No love for Viagra?
PB Blaster is better.
Perhaps if you cut down on the mechanically separated former, you’d have less need for the latter. Potted meat is absolutely disgusting. It makes Spam look like filet mignon.
Speaking of which, how about nominating WD-40? It’s very useful as a cleaner and a lubricator.
All cattle eat grass most of their lives before slaughter. The difference is only that “normal” cows get fattened up with corn before…the end.
Meguiars products are consistently excellent.
Talenti’s Sea Salt and Caramel Gelato is…fucking amazing.
Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chip Ice Cream. There is no other greater product coming out of Cincinnati. It’s ordered packed in dry ice all over the globe. Oprah would not lie to you.
Gliers Goetta. Another superb Cincinnati product. It’s absolutely excellent with eggs and toast, fuck Scrapple (and Pennsylvania for that matter).
Kicker subwoofers

Cottonelle ridged toilet paper, great for cleaning out the anal nodules, doesn’t tear and leave TP in your bunghole
Asus laptops
Gateway PC towers
Wustof chef knives

Halls cough drops - I’ve tried the generic and competitor brands, but they don’t work as well. Only the Halls drops work at opening my sinuses when I have a bad cold.
For the magicians in the group, The Norm Neilson “Dinamo” deluxe spot card trick as well as the Vanishing Coke bottle trick. Both are phenomenally well made and will last forever.
It’s been said, but Saran Wrap.
If I’m not making homemade, then Stouuffer’s frozen Mac and cheese. I think it’s been mentioned already but Jif peanut butter. I grew up on Skippy and loved it, but now I find Jif out does Skippy.
Gerber multi tools. Most expensive but they work the best.
