Little King’s Story comes from the people who made the Harvest Moon series and its supposed to be a pretty decent medevial castle building sim.
Major Minor’s Majestic March is from the guy who made Parappa the Rapper. Although I think most people are angry its not a new Parappa and instead focuses on a marching band.
Sonic and the Black Knight is the direct sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings. If you liked that one, you’ll like this one.
Marble Saga: Kororinpa is the sequel to Kororinpa. Marble Madness fans might want to look into it.
A slightly related question: is the Wind Waker worth playing? This is coming from someone who has had a love/meh relationship with Zelda games over the years, and hasn’t played Twilight Princess. (FTR I followed WW somewhat in production and hated the childish anime look when it was unveiled but it doesn’t bother me in the least now.)
Edit: And Skies of Arcadia: Legends?
(These are technically Wii games now, and they’re about 12 bucks each at the used bookstore :))
Sonic and the Black Knight is a sequel, but the gameplay looks totally different from Secret Rings. So I wouldn’t go so far as to say liking SR will lead to liking BK.
But a Kororinpa sequel? Sweetness. I loved the Monkey Ball series on the Gamecube and felt they screwed it up terribly with the Wii iteration, so I went to Kororinpa for my fix. Great game.
Skies of Arcadia: Legends is an awesome game if you’re a JRPG fan. I definitely recommend it.
Wind Waker was a great game, I liked it a lot. My biggest gripe was the sailing and the amount of time it took. It was fun at first, and there’s a lot of exploration you can do, treasures to find, enemies on platforms in the middle of nowhere you can fight, etc, but sometimes the sailing just seemed to drag on forever. I loved the graphic style, though. A bit childish, but then you really get into it, and you gotta love the facial expressions Link makes and such. Overall I thought it was a great game (that said, I really like the more mature style they went to with Twilight Princess as well. I just wish they’d upped the textures for the Wii version as it looks ugly as sin)
