What's going on in the Star Trek universe... circa 2303?

There was a time that Star Trek symbolized our future 300 years hence, and while The Next Generation took us to a future 378 years hence, I have always thought of the true Star Trek universe to be the timeline I grew up with.

We thrilled to Kirk’s original adventures in the 2260’s.
Rejoiced as the Enterprise set off for new adventures in the 2270’s.
Cried and as we lost Spock and the Enterprise, not to mention saving whales and seeing God in the 2280’s.
And finally, saw our original heroes last hurrah in taking the first steps to galactic peace with the Klingons in the early 2290’s.

But that last glimpse at the original Star Trek timeline was in 2291. Granted, we got a brief flashback to Kirk’s disappearance onboard the Enterprise-B in 2294, courtesy of the Star Trek: Generations movie, but since then… nada.

I want to see more of the original timeline that Star Trek inhabited for most of its history. The years between 2291 and 2364, when Next Generation starts, are a pretty blank slate I would think.

So who’s for a visit to Star Trek - 2303? Minus Kirk and Scotty I suspect, and leave of absence for Bones due to real-life constraints. I’m not saying we have to have an original cast movie. New characters are a must, but the bridge to TNG should be built… If nothing else, I wanna know what happened to that new inexperienced crew of the Enterprise-B. Who’s with me?

Well, it would “B” the adventures of the Enterprise B, complete with Human Tuvok, Captain Guy from Spin City, and Daughter Sulu. Or Sulu and the Excelsior. Or maybe an anthology of both of them. And at some point we would run into the Cardies, and the Rommies would run away. Admiral Chekov would be giving orders, with Uhura as head of the Acadamy. And then Seven of Nine would show up in year three to help fight the Temporal Cold War.

[to the Jetsons theme]
Meet Enter’ B!
With Captain Guy!
Human Tuvok!
And Daughter Sulu!

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

I’m Trekked out now. Stupid Stigma.

Please, continue to post, thus entertaining me.
