What's on my MP-3 Player? (J-L)

After a lengthy delay, I am finally ready for the next round of “What’s on my MP-3 Player”. Try to identify these songs based on the lyrics given. Here are the clues:

  • all songs are in alphabetical order, from J through K
  • they are generally rock and roll songs by popular artists, although not necessarily #1 hits
  • the time frame is the 60s through the 90s, with a few exceptions
  • the first 5 start with J; the next 4 start with K, and the final 16 start with L
  • please identify both the name of the song and the artist in your response
