Tinkerbell
I have the plastic version on my tree.
It varies from year to yer. This year it’s a star, in the past we’ve had angels, santa, stars, plush Cthulhu, and a plush D20.
We have a stuffed animal on ours. A penguin wearing a red scarf, and a Santa hat.
I’ve thought about buying a Xmas tree topper, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet.
My family had a star for many years. After it broke, we got an angel. I’m okay with anything traditional. A red bow sounds nice. A shiny pointed finial would work, too.
A fairy. Not sure where it came from, my wife’s family I think. Judging by the smile on her face the little tart loves the feel of a bit of rough spruce.
A star our son made in school out of cardboard, yarn, and glitter. It doesn’t get any better than that.
A star. A cute fuzzy fluffy white star this year.
I still regret not buying this guy.
Family tradition, going back long before I was born, is a star. The 6’ fake tree gets a star if it’s up. When it’s just the 4’ fiber optic tree, which is up this year, nothing.
I have an ornament that’s a white, lacy clip-on butterfly, and that goes on the top. Although this year I’ve just got 700 white lights and no ornaments.
A large bow.
A stunned garden gnome, made up like an angel.
Some of these “other” ones sound really neat - anyone want to share pictures?
I just found out from my mother that she and my dad fought over the angel vs star issue, so they alternated. I wonder why I only remember the star. Apparently Dad was only pro-angel because the star Mom liked had a blinky-light option that seemed to be triggered at random and it drove him nuts.
A star for us, though truth be told it’s rather too large and heavy for our little tabletop (I think it’s 4’, might be 3’) tree. I have to fold the top few “branches” down and wrap them around each other to get a good sturdy clump that won’t flop over with the star on it.
I love Christmastime…I get the best pentacles this time of year!
