What's on your post-apocalyptic short, short list of indulgences?

There has been an apocalypse. You are one of the 0.1% of humans left on earth. What would you get one last taste of before the world went all Mad Max?

Let’s say the power grid is even still up, flickering and dying, but still enough there that if you wanted one last triple scoop of Baskin Robbins, the coolers would still be on…for a few more hours. What would be your last perishable pleasure? Food? A few hours of Unreal Tournament? One last viewing of Groundhog Day on DVD?

Starbuck’s french roast beans, Black & Mild cigars and Captain Morgan’s would be what my cave has packed to the roof.

Downloading and printing out as much porn as humanly possible.

One more viewing of Brokeback because I’ve had the real-world equivalent, although not as poetic or with as attractive participants, of Jack (me) and Ennis’ (the-bastard-who’ll-forever-more-not-be-named) doomed relationship. Guess I’ll carry that to the very morbid end. :stuck_out_tongue:

While eating HD macadamia brittle.

After carefull consideration, I’m thinking I’d go somewhere where they have like a 5000 gallon hot water heater and take a loooooooong hot shower, before the power grid failed.

If books were going to go bye-bye, I’d read a good book. If we’re only talking about things that require electricity or importation (I already have books), I’d watch Firefly. Either “Out of Gas” or “Serenity.”

Yes, let me clarify a bit. I’m talking about what would you do/ get/ eat that is going to be unavailable to you in a post apocalypse world where there’s no organized society (that doesn’t involve a thunderdome), no electricity, no goods you can’t grow or make yourself.

This indulgence better be good cause it is gonna have to carry you for a long time…like a couple of generations! <yikes>

Chocolate, providing I couldn’t make my own (right now I sure wouldn’t know how to make it).
