What's that song on that Geico commercial?

Of course it really matters! It’s the “don’t have much of an appetite, thank you” caveman.

The one without an appetite was in the airport ad.

Yeah, those cavemen at the restaurant look nothing alike. What are you, some kind of anti-australopithicene?

Well, pal, even a caveman could compose a paragraph without creating that much ambiguity:

If “that actor” refers to the aiport one, he’s not the one who ordered Duck in the restaurant ad.

Next time, do a little research.

According to imdb, our cavemen are Jeffrey Daniel Phillips and Ben Weber.

Sorry I couldn’t get that to you sooner!

The caveman that had the duck in the restaurant commercial is now appearing in the poster adds for Geico. This is why our modern caveman has the range of expressions on his face when he first sees the add and recognizes his former friend, and why the chosen song for the ad talks about memories.

Great commericals. Crap insurance company.

Here are the two ads, compare and see for yourself. Restaurant and Airport

Nevermind, the cave man looking at the ad is disgusted because the ad is the wrong size? Here is a longer version of the commercial.

No, he’s just giving some extra detail about this unbelievable sight he’s seeing. Sorta like, if you were calling somebody to tell them about the UFO you saw, you might say, “Yep, all covered with little green lights… Well, apparently not, because I’m looking right at it.”

Whoa, there’s a longer version?

That’s my favorite commercial-- the music, the double take, the wordless reaction… it’s just perfect and it makes me laugh every time. I can’t imagine how a longer version with dialogue could be better.

If you like “Remind Me”, I think I can pretty confidently predict you’ll like the whole album.
