What, in your opinion, are the symptoms of anti-male bias that Filipinas lack and Western women have?

In my experience, with all the Fillipinas I have worked with ( many ), they lack PC, which has, IMO, poisoned western women’s attitudes towards males.
Also, they like to appear feminine and girly, which is something followers of Germaine Greer have been trying to eliminate from western women for many years.

Oh, really? How about this. A first date with a Filipina in the Phillipines vs. a first date with an American woman in, say, Minneapolis. Compare and contrast.

Well, I believe this is a cultural matter and there’s a major difference between chinese and filipino culture. Sure, they may look similar, but culturally they are night and day. From my experience, as a European, either woman may be a great partner, with the major difference that your Chinese woman will always be painfully honest while your Filipina will always be comfortably dishonest. Which means, if your Chinese woman cheats on you, she will most likely tell you when you ask (which will probably ruin your relationship anyhow), while your Filipina would certainly lie to you and not tell you (thereby saving your relationship and you’d be happily ignorant). Whatever is the best is up for you to choose.

Yes, this is stereotyping from my limited experience and there are surely exceptions beyond my experience, just be aware of what (cultural legacy) you’ll be facing. They are vastly different. I made the mistake thinking they where mostly the same (and btw, Chinese women can cook proper food!).

Yeah, today’s spammers have started using search engines to find topics on message boards, and they join and post “relevant” messages and links. It’s not enough to just post the same message to just ANY forum…they are targeting their messages now.

As spam goes, I’d have to say that was pretty ordinary, nothing special.

Filipino food, in general, is not spicy (though they tend to use lots of vinegar, salt/soy, and garlic). Filipino restaurants cater to Filipino, not American, tastes and I’ve been to dozens. It is the blandest southeast Asian cuisine I’ve tasted. Food also is often cooked until it is dead, dead, dead. And then cooked some more just to make sure. My unfounded theory is that Filipinos cook like this because of poor sanitation and food handling. Between the vinegar, salt, and heat, all the nasty stuff is eliminated.

Do’nt think I’ve ever had Filipino cuisine. Just about every other Asian cooking but not Filipino, not in the DC area anyway.

I would say see this parallell thread. Understandably American women by and large aren’t putting up with being basically a cooking, fucking, listening doll who doesn’t talk too much to her husband about emotions and feelings and other drivel, except when the husband wants to talk drivel in which case said doll will listen soothe and advise with infinite patience.

Equally understandably of course, a lot of men especially of the older generation want such a doll and can find one in a Phillipino woman. So it works out for both parties.

The mother of my ex was not a quiet or subdued woman. She was highly opinionated and she ran her household and everyone in it. She is Filipina and her husband Filipino. So your stereotype does not compute

I noticed a trend among many of my older co workers- many of them have filipina girlfriends/wives. The guys tend to be in their forties/fifties, white, previously married. I dont know of any of these couples that have kids together. Many of these guys move to the Phillipines when they retire.

The reason it makes me curious is because its so specifically women from the Phillipines, is there something cultural that is appealing to these guys? I know asian women are kind of fetishized in our culturr, but still I kind of wonder why its not, say, Chinese women, or vietnamese, etc.

Age gap in the Philippines is not a big deal unless the guy looks like a grandfather already.Philippines is cheaper, since the value of money is high your buck can go a long way compared to living in the united states. Plus women are more submissive, younger, petite, loving and pretty. Here, filipinas are taught to serve our man as part of the marriage vows. Most filipinas can speak decent, good or fluent english. Other countries, no not really. I have met couples in thailand and from my observation, there is a communication barrier which also creates misunderstanding. Most of the thai people only do sign language and one two english words. FOreign men that marry thai girls have to learn their language. Me and my fiance went to hk too, people there can understand english but can speak very few words. While philippines is westernized, filipinos are also open to marrying other races and love to have mixed beautiful babies.
