I visied a few BTVS boards over the past few weeks… and they all sucked. The Buffy threads here in CS @ SDMB are very informative and interesting, and I enjoy them quite a bit. I just can’t seem to find someplace that has this level of intelligent critique and discussion (but all the time). I’m sure I’m just not going to the right ones. Any suggestions?
Did you go to the Buffy Cross and Stake? www.angelicslayer.com/tbcs/spoilers.html Go to that link and click on “Spoiler board.”
Also, there is a kick-ass Yahoo group called “The Stakehouse.” Just go to Yahoo groups and search for Stakehouse. You have to sign up to read the archives, but it’s full of smart, fun, intelligent people, and it’s where WilliamthePoet posts! It’s also a fairly busy board.
Have you checked out http://www.buffyguide.com/ ?
While it’s not a forum, I find it very informed. Good for links too.
dead board now, pepper.
The Cross and Stake board isn’t dead, just the spoiler page. As AngelX says, don’t worry, spoilers will never die. It might be temporarily disabled, but that happens about once a day and isn’t anything to worry about.
Also, at buffyguide.com there is a board. Well, there was. I haven’t visited it for awhile.
There’s also a forum over at jamesmarsters.com, but that’s mostly about hw cute and wonderful he is and not so much with the buffy discussion.
televisionwithoutpity has has a Buffy section here . It has episode recaps (I enjoy reading them, it doesn’t matter if I’ve seen the episode or not), and there’s a text link below the “Buffy” banner that says “forum”. There are a lot of topics and I find it quite entertaining and not sucky at all. YMMV, of course.
add another vote for ‘televisionwithoutpity’ boards and the site as a whole. the one stop shop for all my guilty teen show pleasures.
maybe… I only mention them because at one time fanforum had an absolutely splendiferous Roswell board and I know there was a lot of fan overlap… dunno though.
(not sure if running the hamsters and bumping my own post to say “Thanks!” is considered bad form, but…)
As I suspected, I was loooking in the wrong places. Those suggested here are great. Thanks!
The Bronze is dead, but the Bronze Beta is still alive and going strong. Have you tried it? It’s Bronze Beta . I was a Bronze since August of '97. Mostly now I post at a private board of old-time Bronzers.
