For my car, that is. My current CD player is getting old, and it doesn’t play CD-Rs very well. I need a good player, for about $200, that would preferably have a CD changer control. (I’m going to an an auxiliary input so I can hook my future Nomad Jukebox up to it.) It must be able to play all CD-Rs, and CD-RW would be good too. What do you reccommend?
IMO, pretty much all car CD players are about even at this point. I seriously doubt that anything designed/manufactured in the last few years (by a repuatable name, anyay) would have any problem with CDRs.
Personally, I have some Pioneer deck that was on sale at Good Guys. It gives me, IIRC, 45 watts per channel and plays all my CDRs fine. What I’m looking at is the Aiwa MP3 CD player. Yummy, though I have issues with some of its anti-features. It’s less than $300, so it might be more than you want to spend, but it’s not bad. Anandtech has a review if you’re interested.
