What's the best Discworld novel?

Rowan Atkinson (in Blackadder II mode, obviously) would make a most interesting Patrician. Hm. Perhaps Tony Robinson (Baldrick) as Rincewind ?

I always saw Tony Robinson as Baldrick as the natural choice for Nobby Nobbs, and Rowan Atkinson as Dr. Whiteface.

Yes… I can see that working.

Who would Carrot be?

I saw a theatrical performance of “Guards! Guards!” with Paul Darrow (Avon, out of “Blake’s Seven”) as Vimes. Spot-on casting.

Now Death could be really hard to cast… You’d need a body double anyway as he’s meant to be about seven feet tall. It worked for Darth Vader and for Hagrid as well (and I read that Martin Bayfield enjoyed doing Hagrid so much he’d do some more film work in a heartbeat). But who could do THE VOICE?

[mode = obvious]

Alan Rickman.

I imagine Angua as being like one of the recurring characters in “Xena” … can’t remember the name, might have been Callisto? She was an enemy of Xana, blonde and really kick-ass.

Oh, and Vetinari IS Alan Rickman.

All Discworld movie casting decisions must be made with The Pratchett Portfolio as a reference. Accept no substitutes for that beautiful Kidby art!
