What's the biggest discount you've got from fuel points? (per gallon)

I think the largest I’ve evr recieved is $0.50.

My particular store (Kroger) tells me I can get all the way up to $2 a gallon. Which baffles me, because I imagine you’d have to buy the whole damn store to get that kind of a discount.

My daughter just got $1.30 off. Of course, she has the car with the smallest gas tank. :smack:

Regular once a month .40/gallon off here. That’s when I take on 22 gallons, so almost $9 saved over regular price.

I once got $.40/gal. I’d saved up my points and had let my RV tank run down to near empty, so saved about 20 on the tank. Was right proud of myself. It pisses me off that the Kroger place here (Fred Meyer) only allows .10/gal.

Where we grocery shop, they give gas discounts that include gift card purchases. We had several major purchases we were making anyway at Lowe’s, so we bought two $500 gift cards.

I believe my gf paid .90 a gallon when she filled up her tank.

Tesco (big UK supermarket) was doing coupons for 10p off per litre recently, and you can use up to five per transaction, which means you save about 35% on the price of the fuel (unleaded is about £1.40 per litre at the moment). You got one coupon when you bought certain deals IIRC (I only got one so I’m not sure how it worked or how much it would cost).

I think $1.20. Once a year my dad and I save up our points (we share a card) and use it to fill our lawn mower gas tanks and get the full 30 gallons allowed.

I got 30 cents off once, but that’s about the best. Both Cub and Rainbow here let them accumulate (for a while - they do have an expiration date), and apparently I had a month or two of accumulation in addition to my normal $60-$70/week grocery bill. So, not great compared to some of y’all, but I was pleased.

My sister had a buttload of points saved up because she shopped at a grocery store but didn’t get gas with their partner with any regularity. We went to fill up for our annual trip to Pittsburgh and the pump price was $3.89.

We paid $1.69. Seriously.

Since my point expire after 2 months we never get very high. The best I got was $0.75.

The best I got was $0.50. This was back when every $50 spent at Price Chopper got you $0.10 off every gallon at Sunoco (for one fill-up, max 40 gallons…I think.) They also didn’t expire, or at least had a pretty long time until they expired. Since I my personal car very little (maybe 10-15 miles a week,) it takes me a while between fill-ups, so I routinely got $0.30 and $0.40 a few times.

But they’ve changed the policy now, so it’s only $0.10 off per $100 spent, so that cuts all the discounts in half, and they expire sooner than before, so now I’m lucky if I get $0.10 off every fill up. I’ve basically stopped using Price Chopper, since it was out of my way compared to shopping at Hannaford’s. Plus the closet Sunoco was nowhere near my regular commute, either.

I’m currently at $3.25/gal discount. So next time I fill up it’ll cost me about 5 cents per gallon (up to 20 gallons).

I once saved up $3.20/gallon discount before getting to the “xx will expire at the end of this month” warning.

I should have kept the pump receipt showing that I got 20 gallons for $1.78.

Until the 24th, Bi-Lo is giving double points for buying gift cards, and I’ve been taking advantage of that - last week, I bought $250 in Bed Bath & Beyond cards, so we got $500 worth of points. I should have bought $275 in BBBY cards as we wound up spending $277 on new curtains for the living room.

I think the most I ever got was 40 cents off per gallon. Usually 10 or 20. Recently, since my wife started commuting and fills up more often, she’s been hogging all the fuel points, so sometimes I only get the basic 2 cents a gallon discount.

I got $.70/gal. off my last fill-up, on Monday. Filled my tank for 45. I usually hit it around .20 or $.30 off per gallon, so this was a pleasant surprise

Because of Kroger giving four times the points for gift card purchases, I’ve hit the magical $2 off limit twice. Once we were buying a fridge and grabbed gift cards specifically for that, another time was a round of gift cards for Christmas.

Normally it’s about fifty cent off each gallon. My husband with the small tank on his hybrid is forbidden from using ‘my’ discount.
