what's the capital of Burma/Myanmar ?

Yangon, Naypyidaw or Pyinmana ?

Several sources seams to be divided

They moved the capital to Naypyidaw about a year ago, the name given to an undeveloped location two miles west of Pyinmana. Older sources may list it as Yangon. Of course, still older sources will list it as Rangoon. The wiki account:

The CIA is Your Friend, and they say:

Has the CIA ever been wrong about anything?

Last time I was there it was Rangoon (Yangon), but I suppose the generals in charge could move it if they wanted.

My 2005 Goode’s World Atlas lists it as Rangoon.

Naypyidaw and Pyinmana seams to be the same city and not two as I thought

I too had always trusted the CIA’s The World Factbook but it looks like Wikipedia is now the go.

Most current news items refer to Naypyidaw as “the new administrative capital” and such phrases. Apparently, the ruling Junta simply packed up and moved their offices basically into the middle of nowhere on very little notice. A Reuters article on the subject from a couple weeks ago:

http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/articlenews.aspx?type=worldNews&storyID=2006-09-18T002507Z_01_BKK21090_RTRUKOC_0_UK-MYANMAR-CAPITAL.xml&archived=False
The CIA Factbook entry probably reflects the fact that the diplomatic missions haven’t moved yet, and are still in Yangon.

Officially recognized or not, if you want to meet with the guys in charge, you apparently have to shlepp upcountry to a military compound in a former cow pasture. Apparently, the civil servants and foreign diplomats are none too happy about it.

In response, Yangon stole the Browns from Cleveland.
